My fave track off the new animal collective record. All around animal collective kookiness with a tenderness that really makes it memorable. The chorus sends chills up my spine every time i hear it.

I haven't even listened to it yet but $50 says Handel hates it and I love it.
Go ahead, take that bet.
Allen, I want a slice of that $50
Matt, hit him with some Ariel Pink.
I can't believe I listened to the whole thing! But: I guess I'm still not sold on droning psychotic folk music, ha ha.
Honestly, this did have its moments, but lost me halfway through, and the last third I simply could not abide.
Regarding Ariel Pink, I'm aware of the Animal connection, but I consider that caterwauling of a different order entirely
and i thought everybody was gaga for ariel pink. can't go anywhere without hearing it these days. stopped watching TRL. boring. 97% ariel pink.
the first bit of purple bottle is about the easiest to listen to AC out there- and maybe that's why i like it. i wuss out sometimes too.
seriously. i love the pop, but i want to freak. you understand i'm sure.
maybe we'll detour towards something a little more conventional tomorrow? i think i know just the thing...
I know I'm in the minority regarding Animal Collective & Co. (and not just among this blog's legion of silent readers), so blog as freaky as you feel inclined.
Bring it on.
"Hate" is a strong word Allen uses at 11:16 to describe my feeling about AC. Their stuff does make me itchy though.
