Man, you hit my sweet spot today. I was listening to Pink Floyd's Soundtrack to the film More this morning and this could be an outtake. Also the baseline is ripped off from some Can song on Ege Bamyasi which makes it even better.
I am not getting the Sonic Youth comparision but I am all over this.

For me SY casts a long, long shadow. I mean thurston is tall, and the sun was low. it was nearly dark, i think. not sure where i am going with this. let's just say there are a couple moments in the jam that are straight off goo or daydream.
but yes, all over the Can comparison. i need to get that record back out.
